Dry stone wall illustration

Welcome.

Hillrise Stonework was founded in 2007 to specialise in the rebuilding and restoration of traditional Cotswold dry stone walls.

Richard Gray is a professional Dry Stone Walling Association qualified wall builder and has over 30 years experience in the conservation and history of historic and listed buildings.

Work also includes advice on dry stone walls and similar structures including those using traditional lime mortar. New walls and building work using natural stone materials are also undertaken.

Hillrise Stonework concentrates on work in Oxfordshire but sometimes takes on building projects further afield where there is a history of limestone walls and building, including parts of Lincolnshire and the Midlands.
